First of all, I began doing my LLJ last week which was week 5 and I was afraid if I do not have time to do it. However, I did some of my strategies and it was very fun to do it. First, on Monday, October 05, 2009, I did my first strategy which was speaking. It was very interesting and fun for me.I had spoken with my friend about a very huge issue which is stay away from marrying educated girls that is a big issue in our society. Because men in our society does not like women to have more high level of thinking and this effect in our thoughts that we afraid that we will never get marry at the future. And it was very difficult for me to express my feelings very well when I discussed the issue with my friend. This conversation toke 20 minutes to discuss the issue however I felt that l need time to continua speaking. At least I spoke and I had a nice conversation by using English. The second strategy was writing my dairy. I felt it was a strange thing to do because l had never written my dairy. For that reason I started writing at least three sentences about what I did in some particular days then I wrote them as a paragraph. This is a part of one of my dairies: (the first day of the week was little bit boring and very busy day for my).At the end I let my friends to read them and give comments for me. Some of these comments are use more high level words for describing what I did and use more conjunction for joining sentences. These comments help me to know what I must focus at. After doing these strategies I felt that I need to improve more in writing than in speaking. I am satisfied with speaking but in writing I should change the way how I write my dairies. The most fantastic experience I had was with speaking. Because I had chance to chat with my friend with English for the first time in my life and it was strange that her opinion about the issue is different from main. I hope at the next few weeks I should return back to the dairy part and noticing myself if I use my friends comments or not and knowing if I improved little bit than the first time. Also, I will try another strategy which I think is reading because it is better to change from time to time.
This is a nice first entry. I feel like I’ve learned a lot from reading about your conversation. However, I’d like to see a few things done differently next time. First, although the details you’ve given about your conversation are great, you haven’t really explained how this helps you with your learning. You need to take it a lot further. The same comment is true about your writing of your journal. How will you change the way you write, for example? Finally, you shold check over your entries carefully for spelling, as you have one mistake that you’ve repeated severala times. It’s an important word, too (and I’m not going to tell you what it is – sorry!).
